With the last snow gone, spring arrives in Salzkammergut and brings with it nature, sports and culture. The whole region blossoms and shows its most beautiful side - walks and excursions into nature are especially worthwhile at this time.
Starting in May, guided tours to the impressive mammoth caves and the salt mines of Hallstatt are possible. The daffodil festival in Auseerland is unique and an experience you shouldn't miss!

WINTER

Winter in the imperial town has it all. In addition to numerous winter sports activities such as skiing, cross-country skiing or sledding, you can also relax in the spa or enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in downtown Bad Ischl. Especially in Advent and around Christmas all kinds of events and delicacies invite you to the region: whether at the local Advent market, at the Kaisereis, at the Kripperausstellung, or at the Altjahrschießen. At the beginning of January, the Glöcklerlauf offers a unique opportunity to experience local tradition up close.
