Travel time : 2 hours by bike plus break

One of our favorite tips for everyone who longs for traditional and scenic Austrian views with good food! Also accessible by car in bad weather :)
In about 40 minutes you cycle slightly uphill to the Rettenbachalm, where you can take a nice walk or continue by bike before you can refresh yourself in the excellent Rettenbachalm Inn or an alpine inn (if open).
Unfortunately, the connection to Blaa Alm (Aussee) has been closed for a long time due to acute danger of rockfalls.
Don't miss visiting the Rettenbach Gorge. On the way along Steinfeldstrasse you will pass a karst spring, the Gagarin monument and the holey stones in the Rettenbach.
You can use the Rettenbachalm as a starting point for a mountain tour into the Totes Gebirge. There is a (steep) path to the Ischler Hütte.
We wish you a wonderful trip!
